Thank You
Thank you to the Nominating Committee for their great work seeking out potential board nominees for the election Jan. 18.
And thank you to the past board members for their dedication to the LWVCCFL. Their tireless work has revived and brought many changes to our local League!
The organization recognizes Teresa Jenkins, Liz Leone, Steve Nelson, Cheryl Temple and Avice Sunter, past board officers, for their service.
The League of Women Voters of Charlotte County is an organization that can be counted on to provide
impartial educational information on issues and candidates as well as one that, when taking a
firm position on an issue, does so only after thoughtful study. It is these two seemingly contradictory roles that give the League its real strength – providing complete information on both sides
of an issue in one instance and advocating for or against an issue in another.
Roles
Founded in 1968, the League of Women Voters of Charlotte County serves these important roles in our community: Voter Service, Citizen Education, Study and Action.
League Structure
The League of Women Voters works at the local, state, and national levels. Started as a MAL unit, the LWV of Charlotte County now has full League status.
This Chapter operates on a 'Team Leadership' concept.
